Oral Presentation
Optical frequency comb: an emerging technology for ultralow-noise microwaves and (sub-)millimeter-waves
Presenter: Jungwon Kim (KAIST)
Mode-locked laser-based optical frequency combs can generate ultralow-noise microwave signals by coherently linking optical and microwave frequencies. Recent advancement of microresonator-based combs (micro-combs) enables the generation of even higher frequency signals in the millimeter- and submillimeter-waves. In this presentation, we will overview our recent progress in the generation of ultralow-phase-noise microwaves/millimeter-waves from optical frequency combs.
