300 GHz Antenna Designs and Measurements

This talk provides an overview of our recent advancements in 300-GHz antenna design, covering six prototypes: a PCB patch antenna array, a PCB Vivaldi antenna array, a PCB Yagi-Uda antenna array, a PCB slot array antenna, a PCB horn antenna, and waveguide slot array antennas. The PCB-based arrays offer high gain and beamforming capabilities at 300 GHz while maintaining low fabrication costs. Additionally, we present a probe-based compact antenna test range designed for 300-GHz antenna characterization. This setup combines a probe station, anechoic chamber, and parabolic reflector, enabling simultaneous measurement of S-parameters and 3D radiation patterns with a single probe contact.
