Oral Presentation
The Developments of Planar RF/LO Coupler and LO Divider for Heterodyne Receiver at 220 GHz
Presenter: Yan-Jun Wang (ASIAA)
Observation time of the world-class radio telescope becomes more and more precious in this pursing diverse objects and high-resolution era. Multi-pixel receiver is one of the ways to increase the current radio telescope's mapping speed and reduce the observation time. To build the array with huge pixel number, developing planarized chip-type front end circuit for heterodyne receiver is a highly promising way to approach. I will present our progress on the development of a planar −17 dB RF/LO coupler and a planar LO rat-race type power divider. Both components are designed to operate at 220 GHz. Their performance is analyzed using the electromagnetic simulator HFSS. This presentation will cover the design process, fabrication, and preliminary test results.
