Oral Presentation
BURSTT Development Status
Presenter: Kai-Yang Lin (ASIAA)
The Bustling Universe Radio Telescope in Taiwan (BURSTT) is a wide-field survey telescope aiming to detect and localize Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs) between 300-800MHz. The wide-field design enhances the chance to detect rare events in the nearby universe as well as the chance to detect repeated bursts from FRBs. The main array is being set up in the Fushan Botanical Garden in Yi-Lan. Several outrigger arrays are being developed in Nantou, Green Island and Dongsha Island to facilitate sub-arcsecond localization capability. I will report the development status of the project.
