Oral Presentation
High Resolution View and Reflection of Stellar Mass Building in Distant Galaxies
Presenter: Min S. Yun (University of Massachusetts)
Paul Ho introduced me to investigating massive star formation by following the gas in galaxies. Gaining spatially resolved gas distribution, kinematics, and activities is fundamentally important, and I cannot over-state the importance of weaving this information together with the detailed knowledge of local massive SF and the Galactic Center. I will share some examples of important insights gained from Paul’s teaching that are proving essential in understanding the activities in high redshift galaxies.
