The development of OIR instrumentation capability in ASIAA

In this talk, I will review the development of the OIR instrumentation capability of ASIAA. The growth of the OIR group is largely supported by Dr. Paul Ho during his directorship of ASIA. In particular, he pushed for our collaboration with the Subaru telescope as well as the METIS instrument for the ELT. He is also the main driver for the TAOS II project which is now one of the ASIAA major projects.
