- PRC Passport Holders: need to apply for travel permits (來台入出境許可證). Please follow the instructions to apply for Travel Permit.
- Visa
- 30-day visa-free privileges are afforded to citizens of more than 30 countries. Please visit Regulation of Visa-Exempt Entry and Landing Visas for Foreigners.
- Please note that your passport's expiration date should be at least six months after your trip.
- Public Transportation from International Airports
- Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (Airport Code: TPE) is situated 40km south of Taipei. The metro system "Airport MRT Line" connects the TPE airport and Taipei main station. The ride (on the express train/Purple Line) takes roughly 35 minutes.
- By Metro - Taoyuan Airport(TPE) to NTNU Guest House
- ① Take the Taoyuan Metro Airport MRT (Purple) Line to get off at A1 Taipei Main station (on-way ticket: NT$ 160).
- ② Follow the direction signs to walk to the Taipei Metro G13 Beimen Station. Take the Sonshan-Xindian (Green) Line to G09 Guting Station (one-way ticket: NT$20).
- Taipei Songshan Airport (Airport code: TSA) serves domestic flights and short-haul services to mainland China and Japan-Haneda(HND)/Korea-Gimpo(GMP). It's close to the Taipei city center.
- By Metro - Taipei Songshan Airport(TSA) to NTNU Guest House
- ① Take the Taipei Metro Wenhu (Brown) Line from BR13 Songshan Airport Station to BR10 Nanjing-Fuxing Station.
- ② Follow the direction signs to take the Songshan-Xindian (Green) Line to G09 Guting Station (one-way ticket: NT$20).
- NTNU Guest House is located in the NTNU Heping Campus. The closest MRT station is the G09 Guting Station (Map).
- Please note that the classroom of General Hall is located in the NTNU Gongguan Campus, which is close to the G07 Gongguan Station. (Please check the venue page)
- Currency
The New Taiwan Dollar (NT$) is the currency used in Taiwan. It is recommended to travel with cash. It is also possible to withdraw NT$ from ATM in Taiwan with foreign bank card. Please check with your bank about this service in advance. - Dinning Places
You can easily find restaurants everywhere in the Taipei city. Prices vary but one meal should cost less than 10 USD in many restaurants. [Lunch boxes will be provided for the participants.]
