Multi-method Protostellar Mass Measurements in eDisk

The ALMA Large Program Early Planet Formation in Embedded Disks (eDisk) obtained 1.3 mm continuum and molecular-line observations toward 19 nearby Class 0/I protostellar systems at spatial resolutions of <~10 au (continuum) and tens of au (lines). While the survey has revealed generally smooth embedded disks and various kinematic structures, a major recent focus has been the systematic characterization of protostellar properties across the sample. As part of this "second-generation" effort, we applied four independent methods to estimate protostellar masses for the 20 main targets in the eDisk sample, including a binary system counted as two targets. This multi-method approach enables robust stellar-mass measurements while quantifying realistic uncertainties at the 10-40% level, with reduced dependence on the assumptions of any single technique. In this presentation, I will summarize the methodology, compare the performance of different mass-estimation approaches, and discuss the implications for evolutionary studies of the protostellar phase.
