Oral Presentation
Cosmic tidal reconstruction
Presenter: Hongming Zhu (National Astronomical Observatories, CAS)
Standard BAO reconstruction has proven highly effective at recovering the primordial density field and sharpening BAO features. However, it relies on the linear Zel'dovich approximation to estimate displacements, which limits its ability to recover nonlinear displacements on small scales. In this talk, I will introduce a new nonlinear reconstruction method that directly solves for the full nonlinear displacement field. I will also present its application to sparse tracers, including dark matter halos from simulations and galaxies from the DESI survey.
