Window-free estimators for weak lensing power spectrum and bispectrum
Presenter: Taisei Terawaki (Kavli IPMU/The University of Tokyo)
The distortion of galaxy shapes caused by weak gravitational lensing due to foreground large-scale structures is a powerful tool for probing the spatial distribution of dark matter and the evolution of structure formation. Because cosmic shear encodes information about the matter distribution in both the linear and nonlinear regimes, combining the commonly used power spectrum with higher-order statistics such as bispectrum is important for fully capturing the cosmological information (e.g., the parity violation in our universe).
