Leveraging the ALMA Science Archive for Transformational Scientific Discovery

Author(s): Adele Plunkett

Presenter: Adele Plunkett (National Radio Astronomy Observatory)

More than 50 projects with Band 1 data already populate the ALMA Science Archive, on science topics ranging from sub-mm galaxies to local star formation, and from transients to CMB studies. Overall, the ALMA Science Archive includes nearly 5000 projects, and it has surpassed 2 PB of data during more than a decade with ALMA. Further, the Wideband Sensitivity Upgrade (WSU) promises to expand the spectral capabilities of ALMA and hence the breadth of data available to researchers. In this poster, I will present an overview of the information available to you — ALMA users — via the ALMA Science Archive, and highlight some of the key features that aim to help you access the data you need for various science cases. I hope to inspire you to make the most of ALMA by fully leveraging the ALMA Science Archive, especially in an era when new observing capabilities — including Band 1 and WSU — have or will become available.
