Previous studies of the OMC 2/3 filament in the Orion Molecular Cloud have reported conflicting measurements of the dust opacity index, a key property of dust grains. We present new Band 1 (~7 mm) ALMA data toward six protostellar cores in OMC 2/3 to investigate the origin of the conflicting dust opacities. Our preliminary results reveal extended emission structures toward 5 out of 6 cores, which were undetected at shorter wavelengths with ALMA (1.5-2.1 mm) and NOEMA (2.7
