Oral Presentation
Molecular gas distribution of five AKARI-selected ULIRGs at 0.1<z<0.5
Presenter: Kianhong Lee (Nagoya University)
Ultra-luminous infrared galaxies (ULIRGs) are bright in the infrared and represent a phase in which both galaxies and their central supermassive black holes are rapidly growing. However, local luminous infrared galaxies (LIRGs) are not as intense as ULIRGs, and high-z ULIRGs appear faint due to their large distances. The AKARI 90 ?m all-sky survey provides a unique sample of ULIRGs, representing the nearest and brightest ULIRGs within 0.1
