Public Transportation from the Airport to Tainan

From Airports to Tainan High Speed Rail (HSR) Stations
1) Taoyuan International Airport (TPE): ① From Taoyuan Airport to Taoyuan HSR Station:; Take the Taoyuan Metro from Taoyuan Airport Terminal Station (A12 or A13) to A18 Taoyuan HSR Station, NT$35, approximately 20 minutes.; ② From Taoyuan/Taipei HSR Station to Tainan HSR Station:; Take the Taiwan High Speed Rail Taoyuan HSR Station to Tainan HSR Station, NT$1,190, approximately 1.5 hours.
2) Songshan International Airport (TSA): ① From Songshan Airport to Taipei HSR Station:; Take the Taipei Metro(MRT) (Brown line) from BR13 Songshan Airport to BL12 Taipei Main Station (trainsit to Blue line at BR10 Zhongxiao Fuxing), NT$25 approximately 20 minutes.; ② From Taoyuan/Taipei HSR Station to Tainan HSR Station:; Take the Taiwan High Speed Rail Taipei HSR Station to Tainan HSR Station, NT$1,350, approximately 2 hours.
3) Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH): ① From Kaohsiung airport to Tainan HSR Station:; Take the MRT red line to HSR Zuoying Station (NT$43; 30 minutes) and take the High Speed Rail to Tainan HSR station (NT$140, 15 minutes); ②From Kaohsiung airport to Tainan Train Station:; Take the MRT red line to Kaohsiung Main Station (NT$35; 20 minutes) and take the local express train (NT$140, 35 minutes)
From Tainan High Speed Rail (HSR) Stations to the Workshop Venue: Take the local train from Shalun station (in the HSR station) to Tainan Train Station. NT$25, approximately 30 minutes.; The venue is 15 minute walk (1 km) from the Tainan Train Station

Currency

The New Taiwan Dollar (NTD) is the currency of Taiwan. The LOC recommends carrying cash when traveling. Consider bringing cash in EUR or USD and exchanging it at one of the bank counters at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Since the exchange rate varies daily, please check with the Bank of Taiwan for the current rates.

Weather

In late May, we can expect warm temperatures in Tainan, with highs around 30°C and lows around 25°C. Because May is in the rainy season, an umbrella is needed to travel in Taiwan in May.
