Oral Presentation
Testing BURSTT VLBI Capabilities
Presenter: Daniel Baker (ASIAA)
Mass localization of FRBs is going to be the key to the next generation of FRB experiments, and will be crucial in our understanding of the population. Due to its focus on nearby events, BURSTT will be particularly exciting in this regard as these events are the most likely to have identifiable counterparts. In order to test these capabilities, including new techniques for GPS based clock and ionospheric corrections, we present initial results on the localization of known pulsars B0329+54 and B0531+21 as well the quasar 3C48.
