Oral Presentation
Aftershock properties of repeating FRBs and magnetars, in comparison with earthquakes
Presenter: Tomonori Totani (Dept. Astronomy, Univ. of Tokyo)
I will review our recent work on the statistical nature of time-energy correlation (especially the aftershock properties) of repeating FRBs and the magnetar SGR 1935+2154. We found that the correlated aftershock properties are remarkably similar to earthquakes, but not to solar flares. We will discuss these results with some implications for the origin of FRBs and magnetar phenomena.
