Oral Presentation

ALMA observations of galaxy proto-clusters at z=3-6

Author(s): Yuichi Matsuda

Presenter: Yuichi Matsuda (NAOJ)

I will introduce our on-going (and planned) ALMA observations of galaxy proto-clusters at z=3-6. The proto-clusters are thought to be formed at the intersections of the filamentary cosmic web. Theoretical studies predict that most of baryonic matter is distributed along the cosmic web and massive galaxies are preferentially formed at the intersections. By combining with deep hydrogen Lyman-alpha observations of the cosmic web, we can investigate galaxy formation process at gas-rich environment in the early Universe.
