AGN Studies with the SMA

Millimeter wavelength studies of AGN provide important insights into the processes of accretion and outflow. Characterization of the luminosity, spectral index, variability, and polarization all provide critical and unique information. These measurements can set the boundary conditions for models, enabling detailed interpretations of high resolution imaging of EHT sources such as Sgr A* and M87. I will review recent results in these areas and discuss future campaigns that exploit the capabilities of the SMA.
