Oral Presentation
Multi-messenger Signals from Stellar-mass Black Hole Formation
Presenter: Kuo-Chuan Pan (National Tsing Hua University)
We investigate stellar mass black hole formation and its gravitational wave and neutrino signals with self-consistent multi-dimensional core-collapse supernova simulations. I will discuss the impact of neutron star equation of state and the influence of rotation on black formation dynamics and its multi-messenger signals. I will also talk about the possibility of detecting neutrino emissions and gravitational wave signals from these events with current neutrino and gravitational wave detectors, e.g. Advanced LIGO and KAGRA.
