Oral Presentation
Probing physics at extreme with hot-and-dense astrophysical objects
Presenter: Meng-Ru Wu (Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica)
I will discuss in this talk how core-collapse supernovae and the merger of two neutron stars or a neutron star with a black may provide us unique signatures probing the unknown behavior of neutrino physics and nuclear physics under extreme conditions. Particular focus will be given on topics about neutrino flavor oscillations, synthesis of the heavy elements, and consequences of potential quark-hadron phase transition based on my recent works with collaborators.
