Submillimeter Sources Revealed with ALMA Deep Surveys
Presenter: Bunyo Hatsukade (The University of Tokyo)
Submillimeter galaxies (SMGs) are dusty star-forming galaxies at high
redshifts. ALMA enables us to explore the flux regime more than an order
of magnitude fainter than those detected in previous single-dish surveys.
We conducted 1.1 mm ALMA surveys of a contiguous 2-arcmin^2 area of the
Subaru/XMM-Newton Deep Survey Field (SXDF) and detected faint faint
submillimeter sources (<1 mJy). In this talk, I preset the results of
the SXDF-ALMA survey. I also present the prospect on our ALMA survey of
23-arcmin^2 area in the GOODS-S field.
