Lyman alpha blobs at high redshift are characterised by their huge lyman alpha luminosities and large physical sizes over several tens kpc. However, the heating mechanism of the LABs is still unclear and under debate. We will present our recent work about lyman alpha blobs (LABs). Using the SCUBA-2, ALMA and JVLA data, we study a large sample of LABs in SSA22 at z=3.1. In SSA22, we found that the about one-third of LABs are associated with submm sources with high SFRs, suggesting active SF may be the powering source for the extended lyman alpha emission in some LABs. Meanwhile, more than half of the LABs detected in submm/radio shows radio excess and X-ray emission, suggesting the existence of AGNs in many LABs. Photoionisation from SF and AGNs are important processes to heat the extended Lyman alpha emission.
