The ALMA Regional Center (Taiwan-ARC) of ASIAA and Taiwan Astronomical Research Alliance (TARA) are pleased to host jointly an ALMA Users Workshop for potential ALMA users in Taiwan on March 25 (Tuesday), 2025. Below is the announcement:
ALMA Cycle 12 Users Workshop
Date: March 25 (Tuesday), 2025
Place: R208, Physics building in NTHU
Registration Deadline: March 20 (Thursday), 2025.
The call for proposal for ALMA Cycle 12 is anticipated to be issued on March 20, 2025. The ALMA Cycle 12 Users Workshop is designed for preparing ALMA Cycle 12 proposals. It is intended for graduate students, postdocs, faculty members and people who are interested in using ALMA.
Participants are welcome to join the workshop remotely. The link will be provided later.The OT interactive Q&A session will also be available remotely in ASIAA (R1101) starting at 14:00. Attendees are encouraged to bring their observational targets, and we will assist with the setup.

- 11:15 - 12:00 Preparing ALMA proposals: statistics and best practices for new users (Hsi-Wei Yen)

- 14:00 - 14:10 Suggestions for preparing ALMA proposals from scheduling and Phase 2 generation viewpoints (Yu-Ting Wu)
- 14:10 - 15:30 OT interactive Q&A (Tien-Hao Hsieh)
