Oral Presentation
The Stochastic Ricci Flow and the gravitational breakdown of the parity symmetry
Presenter: Antonino Marciano (Fudan University)
We have proposed a novel approach to investigate, in a geometrical way, the renormalization group equation for gravity theories. The Stochastic Ricci-Flow (SRF) hence introduced entails the breaking of the diffeomorphism invariance away from equilibrium, where the classical theory is recovered. We consider a version of SRF that interpolates among an extended BF theory, on one side, and general relativity and the electroweak sector of the standard model of particle physics, on the other side. We finally discuss possible phenomenological applications to cosmology and astro-particle physics, and recent results for the measurement problem.
