Colliding Ghosts: Parity Violation from Inflation to Large-Scale Structure

I review how the principles of locality and unitarity, under the form of the so-called Cosmological Optical Theorem, strongly limit the generation of sizable parity violation in the early universe, when the dynamics is described by a weakly coupled Quantum Field Theory. I then review exceptions to this theorem, the resulting parity-violating signatures in higher-order correlation functions, and constraints from Large-Scale Structure data from the BOSS galaxy survey.
