Search for methanol in the gaseous debris disk of 49 Ceti

A possible feature of a methanol line emission in the debris disk of 49 Ceti was recently detected in a sensitive ALMA observation targeting the [C I] line in Band 8. If confirmed, this will be the first detection of methanol in a debris disk. In order to confirm this result, we have estimated the distribution of the methanol line emission within the Keplerian disk by minimizing the effect of noise. In this presentation, we will discuss these results and link them to future ALMA proposals.
