Oral Presentation
How irreversible processes evolve astrophysical systems
Presenter: Pin-Gao Gu (ASIAA)
Irreversible processes regulate the evolution of a physical system. In this talk, I shall summarize my recent research on the exoplanetary atmospheres and orbits, as well as turbulence in molecular clouds. A few irreversible processes — the greenhouse effect, tides, orbital chaos, atmospheric escape, and shocks — play significant roles in governing the evolution of planetary systems and star-forming regions.
