Invited Presentation
Planet migration by planet-disk interaction in protoplanetary disks
Presenter: Pablo Benítez llambay (Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez)
Planetary embryos growing from gas and solids embedded in the protoplanetary disk exchange momentum and energy via gravitational forces with the disk, making them potentially move or "migrate" over large scales. Setting the speed and direction of migration requires a precise understanding of the global disk structure and the dominant physics close to the planet's orbit. In this talk, I will briefly review the process of planet migration and will show results regarding the treatment of migration self-consistently in protoplanetary disks.
