Oral Presentation
Current status of TRAO with SEQUOIA-TRAO system
Presenter: Hyunwoo Kang (Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute)
The Taeduk Radio astronomy Observatory (TRAO) has improved almost systems - receiver system, backend system, and observation system. Receiver system is 4X4 receiver system (SEQUOIA-TRAO). This receiver covers from 86 GHz to 115 GHz with low system noise temperature (170 K at 100 GHz and 400 K at 115 GHz). A intermediate frequency (IF) converter with power dividers supports two output of line frequencies that can be observed within fixed range simultaneously. A backend is followed to reduce thirty-two IF with Fast Fourier-Transform method. New observation system is modified from Large Millimeter Telescope Monitor and Control system. The system is based on real time OS of VxWorks, and the On-The-Fly method is applied mainly. There are long term of three key science projects and short term of several general projects, and are continued from 2016.
