Prospects on submm VLBI EHT/GLT and SMA role

Imaging the shadow of SMBH is one of the ultimate goals for modern astrophysics.
In coming few years, it will be achieved with mm/submm VLBI observation. EHT is
an international collaboration effort to construct such submm VLBI array, and SMA is
one of the important key stations for this. I will present the prospects on submm VLBI
observation and important role of SMA.
