Dust and Gas around Embedded Star Clusters
Presenter: Sara Beck (Tel Aviv University)
It is well known that dust and heavy elements come from stars. Now we can observe how enrichment starts in starbursts. First SMA and ALMA observations of embedded young star clusters in nearby galaxies have found them immersed in dust clouds (G/D ~ 50, 1/100 the global galactic value) of their own creation. How does these dust masses impact cluster winds? How do the metals mix back into the ISM? With wSMA measurement of dust, molecules, and ions in massive young star cluster we can study these processes.
