Status and Future of the JCMT with the East Asian Observatory

The East Asian Observatory has operated JCMT since early 2015. This talk will describe the successful transfer including unprecedented demand from the submillimeter communities in East Asia and the first science results. The EAO now looks to the future with a new instrument program for the facility and this will be described along with the hopes for new synergies with SMA and other Maunakea Observatories.
