Oral Presentation
Black Hole Shadow with Accretion and Jet
Presenter: Hung-Yi Pu (ASIAA)
The black hole image on event horizon scale is related to the distribution and dynamics of the emitting materials (from accretion and/or jet), as well as the dominating emission mechanism. The image features of different dynamics and population of the materials will be important for interpreting the ongoing and upcoming mm/sub-mm VLBI observations of Sgr A* and M87. For example, the link of accretion dynamics and the 2009 and 2011 EHT (Event Horizon Telescope) observation of Sgr A*, and the predicted image features of GRMHD funnel jet for future observation of M87.
