Oral Presentation

Clustering of galaxies around QSOs at z~4

Author(s): Masayuki Akiyama (Tohoku Univ.) Hiroyuki Ikeda (Ehime Univ./ASIAA)

Presenter: Masayuki Akiyama (Tohoku University)

Whether luminous QSOs are associated with over density regions of galaxies is one key observable to constrain QSO trigger mechanism and QSO life-time. HSC dataset will be unique in concluding the long standing discussions on the environment around luminous QSOs with its unprecedented sky coverage and sufficient depth to detect galaxies at z~4 with the Lyman break method. In this presentation, we will report the current status of the construction of samples of z~4 QSOs and galaxies with the intial HSC dataset.
