Oral Presentation
Vlasov-Poisson simulations of cosmic neutrinos in the large-scale structure formation
Presenter: Kohji Yoshikawa (Center for Computational Sciences, University of Tsukuba)
We numerically investigate the dynamics of cosmic neutrinos in the large-scale structure formation in the universe. Here, we adopt a rather new numerical approach, Vlasov simulations in which we directly solve the collisionless Boltzmann equation (Vlasov equation) in 6-dimensional phase space, instead of conventional N-body simulations. It enables us to perform numerical simulation without any shot-noise and is suitable to investigate the dynamics of self-gravitating systems with high velocity dispersion such as cosmic neutrinos. In this work, we focus on the dynamical effect of cosmic neutrinos on the structure formation in the universe and their observational feasibility.
