Future Exploration of Star and Planet Formation with Subaru

Announcement

Subaru is seeking opportunities for international co-operation. The candidate organizations and regions include EAO (China, Korea, Taiwan, Japan), Canada and Australia. This workshop is an initial meeting for researchers in star and planet formation in Japan and potential partner organizations/regions to discuss the future directions of our research field, how Subaru could impact our research field in the future, and to seek collaborations if appropriate. The goals of the workshop are as follows:

We will cover a broad range of science topics in star and planet formation. We also welcome researchers studying exoplanets as Subaru is commissioning and operating instruments for studying these objects. The number of participants will be limited to be about 40.

Contributed Talks

We welcome contributed talks about (1) ongoing studies with Subaru or other 8-10 m telescopes, and (2) proposed studies with Subaru. If you would like to give a talk, please provide the title and abstract at the registration page. The selection will be made shortly after the deadline for registration.
