Task Description and Goals

Galaxies near and far can emit radio continuum radiation through at least two distinct mechanisms, one connected to star-formation, and another associated with the supermassive blackhole at the center of the host galaxy. Recently, two large radio sky surveys, LOFAR and GLEAM release a large number of new radio sources in both the northern and southern sky. In this project, we will analyze the multi wavelength properties, clustering, and redshift distribution of these new sources in order to understand the mixture and origins of different radio populations.

Required Background
