Announcement
We would like to advertise an upcoming discussion workshop meeting being held on 9 – 11th March 2021 at ASIAA in Taipei, Taiwan. The scope of this workshop is to:
- Discuss the current state of thematically linked research in our respective areas of expertise.
- Build collaborative links amongst the star and planet formation, exoplanet, and Solar system communities in the East Asia region.
- Generate potential research pathways for current and near-future facilities.
The meeting will have a heavier focus on discussion rather than presentation of research results, but the submission of abstracts for presentations by attendees is encouraged.
We will host the meeting at ASIAA, but remote participation will be facilitated. Due to the size of the venue and ongoing restrictions due to the COVID health measures in place there are a limited number of places for on-site participants. Registration for on-site participants will therefore proceed on a first come, first served basis.
Topics of interest:
- Disc physics, chemistry, and evolution from collapsing cores to the current Solar system.
- Planetary core formation.
- Transitional discs, including disc winds and dispersion.
- Exoplanets, debris discs, and the Solar system, including architectures of planetary systems and small body dynamics.
Important dates:
- Registration opens for the meeting 4th December 2020
- Submission of abstracts: 8th February 2021
- Attend the meeting: 9th – 11th March 2021
