Purpose
Computational astrophysics is becoming the primary pillar of modern theoretical astrophysics because the complicated nature of astrophysical phenomena, its physical understanding may only come by the proper use of numerical simulations. However, the relevant knowledge of numerical methods for astrophysical simulations are not taught in most of physics/astronomy institutes in Taiwan. Therefore, we hope to organize a mini-school on the computational astrophysics for students and invite experts to give pedagogical lectures. We aim to introduce this exciting field to the students in Taiwan and equip them with the basic knowledge of computational astrophysics which may be useful for their future research.
