The ALMA Regional Center (Taiwan‐ARC) of ASIAA and the UCAT Center for ALMA Science Advancement (tuCASA) of the University Consortium of ALMA‐Taiwan (UCAT) are pleased to host jointly the ALMA User Workshop 2013 for potential ALMA users in Taiwan.

The call for proposal for ALMA Cycle 2 has been issued on October 24, 2013. The ALMA User Workshop 2013 is designed for the preparation of ALMA Cycle 2 proposals, and is aimed for graduate students, postdocs, faculty members and people who are interested in observing with ALMA.

The programs of the ALMA User Workshop 2013 include:

1. ALMA progress report and Cycle 2 capabilities
2. Suggestions from ALMA science assessor
3. ALMA Polarization observations
4. Correlator & Splatalogue
5. ALMA Observing Tool
6. SIMDATA Simulation
7. Discussion

1. read through the ALMA ES Primer and the Science Web pages
2. have the latest version of OT and CASA installed in your laptop
