We report on the discovery of a dust lane in the cD galaxy of the Hydra
A cluster using Subaru telescope. The i'-band image shows the existence
of a dark band of the size of 4 kpc x 0.8 kpc. Since the minor axis of
the dust lane is nearly parallel to the radio jets emerging from the
AGN, the cold disk associated with the lane is probably feeding its gas
into the central black hole. We expect that this kind of dust lanes have
been overlooked, although the cold disks may be essential for AGN
activities. We propose the search of the dust lanes in massive
elliptical galaxies with HSC for statistical studies and detailed
studies with ALMA and Astro-H.
