The Taiwan ECDFS Near-Infrared Survey (TENIS)

The Extended Chandra Deep Field South (ECDFS) is a field covering 0.25 square degrees of sky which has been observed in many wavelengths from X-ray to Radio with very deep exposures. However, the near-infrared data for the entire ECDFS are only available from
the MUSYC (Multiwavelength Survey by Yale-Chile) and their depths are not sufficient for high redshift studies. Therefore, we initiated the Taiwan ECDFS Near-Infrared Survey (TENIS), which is a near-infrared survey in J and K filters carried out using WIRCam on the CFHT for the ECDFS. The 5-sigma AB limiting magnitudes for J and K are both 25.4 after the observations are completed. We will show some preliminary results done using the TENIS data.
